Rationale
Modem
A basic cable modem that works with modern DOCSIS requirements and is accepted by all Canadian internet service providers.[1]
Router
Features include:

A defined port with POE passthrough

Fanless
This piece of hardware is one of the best return on investments for the build thus far. In over five years of use, with zero downtime, there have been no issues.
Access points

AP AC LITE: An entry-level wireless access point.

AC MESH: Connects from the AC LITE in a 5 GHz mesh configuration to extend network coverage.
For this project, the network configuration must maintain strength and signal across an old brick apartment building.
